We Are FR Innovators

Game-changing solutions

Our innovations have led to products that were once thought to be unattainable: flame-resistant clothing as soft and comfortable as a favorite shirt and fabric that combines ANSI-compliant high-vis with the comfort of cotton. We specialize in fabric that resists shrinkage and retains full FR properties, even after years of harsh conditions and laundering. Innovation happens when we combine engineering expertise with deep textile knowledge, a thorough understanding of the hazards and what workers want to keep them safe, confident and comfortable.

The science behind the safety

For over 50 years, our focus has been on FR fabric; our U.S. operations, custom-made equipment and specially trained staff give us an advanced level of control over the engineering process. This proprietary process ensures consistency among every yard of fabric and the ability to perform under real-world conditions.

Westex was the first to engineer fabric with a guarantee of flame resistance for the life of the
garment — before many FR safety standards existed. Our innovation begins with significant investment in research and development. We lead the industry in creating more comfortable FR fabrics through our proprietary softening technology to engineer products no one thought possible. Our innovators bring together textile design, raw material expertise and FR chemistry to continue making groundbreaking FR fabrics.
